Friends of St Mary's
Friends of St Mary's is a registered charity (Reg no. 1129350), that supports the school through a wide range of enjoyable events. This is a popular, ever growing school and we work hard to raise money to provide additional resources to enhance our children's education and make school a fun place to be.
If you are a parent of a St Mary's pupil then you are automatically a Friend of St Mary's. We hold meetings about once every half-term to plan our events, review past events and discuss how the money we raise should be spent. These meetings are very informal, usually held in a local pub and everyone is welcome to attend. We are always happy to see new faces and hear new ideas.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 22nd February 2012 at 7.45pm. This will take place in the Old Star pub, Clifford - all welcome. We will be voting on donating funds to the school for a fantastic ICT upgrade and discussing the theme for our Summer event so please come along to have your say.

Friday 18th November - Comedy & Curry Night
With Comedy provided by "Kill for a Seat" and Curry provided by Saffron Indian Restaurant. This was another fabulous night raising just over £4000 towards new school computers in the Spring. Thank you to everyone who attended. We hope you had a great night!
Friday 11th November - Spree & Spa Evening
Just to say a huge thanks to everyone who attended, bought tickets, held a stall and/or supported the raffle. In total we raised £1200 which is a fantastic acheivement for our first one! We would be most grateful for your feedback on this event should we look at doing another one next year. Saturday 9 July 2011 - Summer Event
Our annual family event to round off the school year and welcome families of next years reception children was hugely successful. We had stalls, hog roast, pro-skills sports for the children, raffle and, of course, the famous egg throwing competition, which this year had over 100 participants.
