Ethos Statement
“In God we live and learn”
The Governors and Staff of St Mary’s CE Primary School are committed to educating the children spiritually, academically, emotionally and physically within a distinctive Christian ethos.
Our values are:
-
That we seek to develop an active love of God and our neighbour through the exercise of Christian Spiritual values within our school and community
-
That we treat everyone as we would wish to be treated ourselves, showing understanding and forgiveness to others
-
That we respect ourselves and others and value their individuality
-
That we work with our local community and parish to create a nurturing and welcoming environment for all
Our Ofsted Inspection
The school was the subject of an Ofsted inspection during September 2006. We're delighted about the outcome with comments such as:
- "Behaviour around the school is excellent"
- "All children achieve well"
- "Children have very positive attitudes towards school"
- "Very good information and communication technology facilities"
Due to continued high standards and excellent attendance, Ofsted informed us that the earliest date for re-inspection will be September 2011.
The full inspection report can be found here and the Diocesan (SIAS) report is here.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all children, and expects our staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Please report any safeguarding or child protection concerns to the designated teachers for Child Protection: Mrs Cartledge and Mrs Alexander.
